Climate & Culture Coaching

As school districts continue to balance the demands of the state, the needs of educators, and the concerns of parents, finding ways to integrate the impact of trauma into daily practice and examining how to create positive change is critical.

Through dedicated time spent in your building and your district, Michele will create a plan to help usher in gentle shifts in the climate and culture that will help build a more inclusive, restorative, and trauma-informed community. Coaching faculty and staff through challenging situations and difficult relationships, she will help you build a stronger, more resilient team.

How does it work?

Weekly Residence

Every week, for a pre-designated number of hours, I will be in your building, familiarizing myself with your community, building relationships, and assessing needs. During that time, I will also be available to coach folks through challenges as needed.

Leadership Meetings

Once a week, the leadership team will meet with me to express concerns and identify needs., but also to participate in team-oriented exercises and trainings to help them become more trauma-informed, more trauma-responsive, and more able to facilitate necessary changes in the building. They will address and implement necessary policy and procedure changes or prepare for discussions around policy and procedure change with the board. They will address and implement requests and concerns of staff.

Staff Meeting Facilitations

Once a month, I will facilitate 30-minute activities or conversations during your regular meeting time. These activities or conversations will create connections among team members, edify those relationships, and reinforce the changes occurring in the culture and climate of your organization.

Department-Level Facilitations

Once a month, I will facilitate 15-20-minute activities or conversations during your department meeting time with the goal of team building, creating connections, and addressing the needs of the teams at a department level.

Individual Coaching & Consultation

Whether it's classroom or meeting observation, reviewing or revising daily practices and procedures, or just talking through things, I will be available on an as-needed basis for those individual team memebers who want to engage in one-on-one consultation or coaching.
